Guest App

The eight pages worth building, how to keep them usable on a phone, and how to stop them going stale.

What to put on your Guest App pages

Building and publishing a page, what happens when you edit a live one, and how it reaches a guest.

Create a Guest App page

What online check-in does on Mews, on Apaleo, and on every other PMS, and how to build the form.

Online check-in

Branding your pages, and building one page per audience because a single page cannot vary by guest.

Personalise a Guest App page

A fixed URL anyone can open, why tokens break on it, and when to use a token instead.

Static page links

Build and share Digital Reception web pages, from online check-in to static pages you link directly.

Pages

Why check-in forms collect details for every guest on a reservation automatically, and how Mews and Apaleo differ on what reaches the PMS.

Multi-guest check-in

Building a form, what the form type does and does not change, sending it with a token, and where submissions land.

Create a form

Ask OTA guests for the email address and phone number the OTA masks, using a Guest App form sent through a journey, so you can contact them directly.

Collect guest data from OTA bookings with a profiling form

The building blocks, two field structures that work, and why every extra field costs you completions.

What to put in a form

Create forms that collect guest data, including multi-guest check-in and details missing from OTA bookings.

Forms

Where completed Guest App forms land, how to find the one you need, and how to mark off the ones you have dealt with.

Reading form submissions

Read what guests send back: find a submission, see the answers, and keep track of which ones your team has dealt with.

This prototype demo is aware that you are reading “{title}”. It can point you back to the current article, but a production article-aware Fin contract is still follow-up work.

Prototype article-aware answer

Because you already asked about invitations, this prototype demo can add the follow-up: use the role selector before sending each invite to limit access to the teammate responsibilities.

Prototype role-limiting follow-up

This prototype demo suggests starting with your workspace profile, inviting the team members who need access, and then connecting the integrations you use.

Prototype getting-started answer

In this prototype demo, integrations are configured from workspace settings. Choose the integration, connect the account, and review the enabled permissions.

Prototype integrations answer

In this prototype demo, invite teammates from workspace settings, then choose the access each teammate needs before sending the invitation.

Prototype invite-team answer

This prototype demo does not have a scripted answer for that question yet. Try asking how to invite your team or open a source article. No production Fin API was called.
